![]() Though I can see how it can be unsatisfying narratively to just choose which version of truth you're more comfortable with, I liked the idea of choosing between different versions of the same event to shape your own story.Īnother thing the player influences with their choices is the bond of the twins. That one choice decides what the twins believe to be the reason why their mother acted the way she did on that fateful day ten years ago, and that determines the kind of closure the twins get at the end and how they choose to move on from their past. This goes for the ending, too, and this is by far the most significant choice in the game narratively. Throughout the game, it's established that Tyler and Alyson sometimes have conflicting memories on similar events, and a common player choice is selecting which memory the twins should believe as true. It takes the twins until the very end of the game to get most of the answers they seek, and while players will get a good sense of what happened, the end result is not as definitive due to a specific reason. The revelations aren't really shocking in a plot twist sense (not to me, anyway), but they help paint a clearer picture of what Mary-Ann was truly like. Recalling Mary-Ann brings forth a lot of conflicting emotions in both siblings, and throughout the story, they struggle not only to reconcile these emotions, but to also uncover a bevy of secrets about their mother. The main focus of the twins' search is their mother Mary-Ann Ronan, who is at the center of the event that separated the twins in the first place. With the help of these supernatural skills, Alyson and Tyler go around their hometown talking to the residents in search of answers and some form of closure for what they went through as kids. As it happens, the twins have a special ability that lets them communicate telepathically with one another (and only each other), as well as witness visions of past memories. The reunion isn't as straightforward as it seems, as the twins returning to their childhood home kicks off a chain of revelations that shed light on their troubled childhood and test their bond as siblings. Split up for a decade due to harrowing circumstances, the siblings finally reunite in their hometown of Delos Crossing, Alaska, hoping to make up for lost time and settle some unfinished business before moving to Juneau. Tell Me Why's story follows that of two twins: Alyson and Tyler Ronan. I saw that this was made by Dontnod (the devs behind Life is Strange, a game I still haven't played in full), and since I wanted to fully experience one of their narrative-focused games, I added this to my library. #DICEY DUNGEONS OST SPOTIFY FREE#My god, you're the real MVP.I knew nothing of this game until I heard it was free for Pride Month of last year. And I just realized there are several playlists here. I have more if you're interested, these have just been my favorites to this point.Įdit. Shadow Temple Theme - Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time It sets the tone well when you've just seen the light of day after a long trek through a cave.) The Other Side of the Mountain - Final Fantasy VII (This is really situational. The Battle With Magus - Chrono Trigger (The black wind howls.) It's the best soundtrack I've ever heard.) The Dark Colossus Destroys All - NieR (Honestly, if you need inspiration, anything from NieR is perfect. The moans and anguish in the background set the tone perfectly.) Grand Cross - Final Fantasy IX (This works great for any type of undead fight. Magmoor Caverns - Metroid Prime (I used this in the Plain of Fire when my party briefly traveled there, worked perfectly). If you're looking for some more, here are some I've used.
